CHEN Fei has extensive experience advising French and foreign companies, particularly Chinese, as well as individuals, on business law, maritime law and immigration law. Thanks to his multidisciplinary legal skills, his bilingualism and his in-depth knowledge of Chinese culture, Fei can provide seamless legal advice to Chinese entrepreneurs and SMEs which are looking to set-up a French company, acquire a French business or negotiate commercial or industrial contracts with French partners. In addition, holding a law degree obtained in 2003 from the University of Law and Political Sciences of the North-West Region (Xi’an, China), Fei has strong skills in Chinese law, particularly in international business law. As he knows the culture and issues facing Chinese firms expanding and trading in France, Fei can provide fast and prompt legal advice, from the initial acquisition or formation of a company through to the ongoing legal issues that can face a company operating in France.
After practicing as an assistant and then as an associate lawyer in a Parisian law firm from 2014 to 2018, Fei set up his own individual structure in 2018 before joining Mandel-Associés in 2023, as an of counsel lawyer.
Fei worked in the team in charge of administrative contracts at the French Ministry of Justice in 2011, after a first successful experience, in 2009, at the legal department of ECU Worldwide group, one of the main players in multi- modal transport.
Fei has joined the voluntary working group set up by the alumni students of his French University in order to offer free legal assistance to people who are facing legal disputes before local Chinese courts.
Fei participated in the establishment of a legal course specifically dedicated to Chinese students at the University of Le Havre. In addition, he regularly teaches Chinese law as part of the courses of the University Paris VII Diderot (Course of Chinese law, License of Languages and Civilization of Eastern Asia).
