Olivier Mandel, Managing Partner du cabinet d’avocats Mandel & Associés, et Fei Chen, associé du cabinet en charge du Chinese Desk, se sont rendus une quinzaine de jours en Chine courant décembre 2025.
En effet, le cabinet Mandel & Associés, qui est déjà réputé depuis plusieurs décennies pour son expertise dans le domaine des affaires juridiques franco-japonaises et franco-coréennes, a développé récemment un important courant d’affaires avec la Chine.
Grâce notamment à son associé Fei Chen, avocat de nationalité chinoise admis au Barreau de Paris et docteur en droit de l’Université du Havre, notre cabinet assiste, en droit des sociétés, des PME et grands groupes chinois qui souhaitent s’implanter ou développer leur activité en France, dans le cadre notamment d’opérations de filialisation ou de fusions et acquisitions. Nous conseillons également des sociétés chinoises dans le cadre de leurs opérations commerciales dans l’Hexagone (négociation et rédaction de contrats de distribution, de vente, de transferts de technologie, etc.). Enfin, nous assistons des entreprises chinoises pour le dépôt, la gestion, la valorisation et la défense de leurs marques et dessins et modèles français et communautaires.
A l’occasion de ce récent voyage d’affaires en Chine, Olivier Mandel et Fei Chen sont allés à la rencontre d’une demi-douzaine de cabinets d’avocats, particulièrement réputés, et basés à Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong et Shanghai. Grâce à l’établissement de ce réseau de correspondants basés dans plusieurs mégalopoles chinoises, notre cabinet est désormais en mesure d’accompagner juridiquement des sociétés françaises de toutes tailles ayant un projet d’investissement ou de développement en Chine.
Ce voyage d’affaires a également permis à Olivier Mandel et Fei Chen de renforcer des liens déjà anciens entre notre cabinet d’avocats, d’une part, et le Centre d’arbitrage international de Guangzhou et le Barreau de Shenzhen, d’autre part. En effet, nous avons eu la chance et l’honneur d’être invités par ces deux institutions à donner sur place deux conférences juridiques distinctes, l’une consacrée au récent projet de réforme du droit français de l’arbitrage et l’autre au régime juridique des investissements étrangers en France.
La présentation d’Olivier Mandel, qui portait sur le récent projet de réforme du droit français de l’arbitrage, a été donnée le 5 décembre 2025 devant le Centre d’arbitrage international de Guangzhou (qui est la chambre d’arbitrage connaissant le plus important volume d’affaires d’arbitrage en Chine), puis le 9 décembre 2025 dans les locaux de l’Ordre des avocats du Barreau de Shenzhen (qui est passé, en 40 ans à peine, d’un avocat à plus de 30 000 avocats en 2025, faisant ainsi de ce Barreau un de plus dynamiques de Chine).
Quant à la présentation de Fei Chen, qui portait sur le régime juridique des investissements étrangers en France, elle a été donnée le 5 décembre 2025 devant le Centre d’arbitrage international de Guangzhou, puis le 9 décembre 2025 dans les locaux de l’Ordre des avocats du Barreau de Shenzhen.
Mandel & Associés Law Firm meets with Major Legal Institutions and Law Firms in China
Mr. Olivier Mandel, Managing Partner of Mandel & Associés, and Mr. Fei Chen, Partner in charge of the firm’s Chinese Desk, spent two weeks in China in December 2025.
Mandel & Associés, renowned for decades for its expertise in French-Japanese and French-Korean legal affairs, has recently developed a significant business relationship with China.
Thanks in particular to Fei Chen, a Chinese national admitted to the Paris Bar and a Doctor of Law from the French University of Le Havre, our firm advises Chinese SMEs and large corporations on corporate law matters as they seek to establish or expand their operations in France, particularly through the creation of subsidiaries or mergers and acquisitions. We also advise Chinese companies on their business operations in France (negotiation and drafting of distribution, sales, and technology transfer agreements, etc.). Finally, we assist Chinese companies with the filing, management, valuation, and enforcement of their French and EU trademarks and designs.
During their recent business trip to China, Olivier Mandel and Fei Chen met with half a dozen highly reputable law firms based in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Thanks to this network of correspondents in several major Chinese cities, our firm is now able to provide legal support to French companies of all sizes in relation with their investment or development projects in China.
This business trip also allowed Olivier Mandel and Fei Chen to strengthen long-standing ties between our law firm and the Guangzhou International Arbitration Center and the Shenzhen Bar Association. Indeed, we had the privilege and honor of being invited by these two institutions to give two separate legal lectures: one on the recent draft reform of French arbitration law and the other on the legal framework for foreign investment in France.
Olivier Mandel’s presentation, which focused on the recent draft reform of French arbitration law, was given on December 5, 2025, before the Guangzhou International Arbitration Center (the arbitration chamber handling the highest volume of arbitration cases in China), and then again on December 9, 2025, at the Shenzhen Bar Association (which, in just 40 years, has grown from one lawyer to over 30,000 lawyers by 2025, making it one of the most dynamic bar associations in China).
As for Fei Chen’s presentation, which focused on the legal framework for foreign investment in France, it was also given on December 5, 2025, before the Guangzhou International Arbitration Center, and again on December 9, 2025, at the Shenzhen Bar Association.

此次访问亦进一步巩固了本所与广州仲裁委员会以及深圳律师协会之间由来已久的合作关系。事实上，我们有幸受邀在上述两家机构分别举办两场法律专题讲座，一场聚焦法国仲裁法最新改革草案，另一场则介绍法国外国投资的法律制度。
Olivier Mandel 就法国仲裁法最新改革草案所作的报告，于 2025 年 12 月 5 日在广州仲裁委员会举行（该委员会是目前中国受理仲裁案件数量最多的仲裁机构），并于 2025 年 12 月 9 日在深圳律师协会所在地再次发表。深圳律师协会在短短四十年间，从最初仅有一名律师发展到 2025 年超过三万名执业律师，已成为中国最具活力的律师协会之一。
至于 Fei Chen 以法国外国投资法律制度为主题的报告，同样于 2025 年 12 月 5 日在广州仲裁委员会举行，并于 2025 年 12 月 9 日在深圳律师协会所在地进行。
